Welcome 2012

Hello everyone!  After much struggling with Blogger, today I managed to post here in order to show you my page for Use it Tuesday.

My good friend Irini Liolia has recently joined the DT and the beautiful layout of hers as well as the theme of the challenge ("winter" - you all know I adore winter, it just makes me happy) inspired me to create a page...

A photo from our last trip to the mountains on Boxing Day was ready to use, so it didn't take me much time to decide!

I used an old kit from Swirlydoos, plus a few items that had been hoarded in my stash for over a year... in particular, I used the following items:

-Kaisercraft collection of papers (can't remember its name, though) 

-Prima flowers

-old brown fabric (which I don't know how it's called in English, sorry) * update: it's called burlap, thank you, Alanna, for telling me!!

-plastic bubble wrap that I had been keeping in a box for years and which I used as a mask to create the snow effect with gesso

-Kaisercraft wooden lamp

-some really old Sassafras alphas

-rhinestones

-paper doily

-a Martha Stewart punch which I hadn't used for ages

-light blue string for the loop around the photo

I liked the fact I was prompted to use my old stash - the truth is I tend to keep the material I love in store for something "special" that never actually comes.
