February 1st Challenge
Journalling Criteria/theme: LOVE
February 15th is Valentines Day here in Australia and in many parts of the world. For this challenge we would like you to create a project about the one MALE you love. And we do not mean just your partner or spouse. We mean any male in your life.
Ideas for journalling: You could journal about the love you have for your son, father, grandfather or a special person in your life or any pet.
Remember that you are allowed to also create a card or altered project based on this sketch and instead of the journalling criteria you need to use a quote.
You must combine our journalling criteria/theme with this sketch
This is my take on the challenge
I think there's not much to say about the person this layout is dedicated to. He's the man of my life and to me, he's just gorgeous.
I always have a trouble when interpreting circles, so I struggled a bit with that. The only idea I had was to crinkle the lilac patterned paper - {a technique that some Scandinavian scrappers do (by the way, let me say that I ADORE the scandinavian scrapbooking)} -, which was square, and make it look like a circle. The girls from the North tend to crinkle their papers quite often, whereas I pity them and store them. Too bad for me, I assume. Anyway..
One last thing: the journalling comes from one of my favourite songs "Just the way you are" by Bruno Mars. I adjusted it, of course, accordingly.
I hope you will get inspired by the challenge and make a page about one beloved male in your life...
You ask if I like it? I LOVE it! Good on you for NOT creating a circle when you didnt really want to! I LOVE to see people improvise and to stick to their style and I hope one thing to come out of this joining of blogs is that we get to learn more from each other from all parts of the world. Just simply LOVE the way you crinkled the paper and yes I do see a Scandinavian influence there which is simply awesome. THANK YOU for a beautiful and stunning layout. ;)
ReplyDeleteJust sooo beautiful! I love the crumpled paper - along with the embellies surrounding it - its so textural - I want to reach out and touch it!
